"Although I’m a native Californian, most of my life has been spent elsewhere. I first got “serious” about painting while living in England. In 1994 I moved to California’s Central Coast and was fortunate enough to study with Robert Burridge, who encouraged me to challenge myself and explore beyond my “comfort zone.

I love the adventure of painting, exploring different mediums and surfaces, looking for new ways of getting from here to there. Lately foil and metal have captured my interest. They allow me to play with color, mood and texture in new ways, often with unexpected results.

There’s no way of knowing where I will go and I can only hope the viewer likes the journey as much as I do."
